Information for Homeschooled Applicants
As a homeschooled student, you have a unique perspective on life and a unique approach to academic study. We welcome your contributions and look forward to helping you continue your studies at Meredith. Here you’ll find a diverse and friendly community, a challenging academic program, and countless opportunities to enjoy new experiences and make new friends.
Every homeschooled applicant is required to submit the following items:
- Completed application, including essay
- Nonrefundable $40 fee
- SAT or ACT scores*
- Official High School Transcript from each traditional high school attended, as well as a transcript reflecting the entire homeschool curriculum
- GED certificate, unless high school graduation will be recognized by the state in which the homeschool diploma will be issued
- School Official Recommendation**
- Academic Teacher Recommendation **
- Interview with an admissions director
*SAT Subject Tests may be required
**Recommendation from a non-relative may be requested if school official and/or academic teacher recommendation is completed by a relative
Decision notification begins on a rolling basis in November. Applicants are invited to come for a visit and experience life as a Meredith student. Schedule a visit online, or call 1-800-MEREDITH or email requests to admissions@meredith.edu.
